Sarah Topps
Senior Director, Partnerships and Strategic Initiatives (Acting)
Sarah Topps has built her career working in the crossroads of innovation and impact, with two decades of experience across multiple industry sectors. Sarah has secured over $14M in funding for entrepreneurial thinkers across Canada. Sarah is a systems thinker who brings deep knowledge of building collaborative partnerships at the local, provincial, and national level, particularly in bridging the gap between industry and academia.
At the Hunter Hub, Sarah leads the national team which oversees the Experience Ventures innovative work-integrated learning (I-WIL) program across Canada. Experience Ventures is responsible for the delivery of over 12,500 placements for Canadian undergraduate students at over 80 universities and colleges across the country, with a focus on inclusive, tech-enabled opportunities.
Experience Ventures is funded in part by a $25.6M Innovative Work-Integrated Learning (I-WIL) contribution from Employment and Social Development Canada (ESDC), and powered by the Hunter Hub for Entrepreneurial Thinking.
Sarah holds two graduate degrees: a Master of Public Health (MPH), and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Simon Fraser University, and a Bachelor of Arts (with Honours) in International Development and Economics from McGill University.
